ReadyX English · Scoring
Your correct answers become an estimated band.
Each test is scored against an answer key, not by AI. Your number of correct answers is converted to a band with a fixed table. The band is an estimate, not an official IELTS result.
- Each question
- Counts as one. Only correct answers count: a wrong answer takes nothing away.
40 questions
- When time ends
- Your saved answers are submitted and scored. A question without an answer is not correct.
ReadyX levels
Your exam score, plus one of four ReadyX levels.
Each program keeps its exam’s own score. That score also maps to the four levels used in ReadyX AI, so your passport uses one scale across areas. Levels in different areas are not equal: band 6.5 does not mean the same as AI level L3.
- L1 · AwarenessIELTS under 5.0
- L2 · AppliedIELTS 5.0–6.0
- L3 · IntegratedIELTS 6.5–7.0
- L4 · LeadingIELTS 7.5+
The scale shows bands 4.0 to 9.0. A band under 4.0 is also L1.
An estimate, not an official IELTS result
- Not the exam
- Only the official IELTS exam gives an official band. ReadyX is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the owners of IELTS.
- A fixed table
- In the official exam, the number of correct answers needed for a band can change slightly from one test to the next. ReadyX uses one fixed table for each skill.
- One skill
- Each test gives the band for one skill. Writing is not open yet. Speaking can be taken, but no Speaking band is published yet.
- One day
- A band shows your answers on the day you took the test.
What the result page shows
- Your estimated band
- With your number of correct answers.
- Your ReadyX level
- Your band on the four-level scale.
- Each question type
- How many you got right in each type.
